A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Each pupil can have three seats for family for the performance (no under 5’s please) and it will start at 4.30pm at Wollaston Secondary School. You do not need to book these seats and we won’t be issuing tickets – you may just arrive at Wollaston for the performance by 4.30pm.
During the transition days the children will arrive and depart from their usual classroom entrance/exit. The Year 6 children will catch the coach to Wollaston Secondary School. Those Year 6 children not going to Wollaston should come into school as usual.
Please note we have had to cancel Sports Day today due to the weather.
We are looking for a member of the local community who would like to put their name forward as a community governor for the school. This is a nominated role, not an elected parent governor role. If you know someone in the local community who would be interested, please ask them to get in touch with the school.
Five year 6 students attended a Boccia tournament at Wollaston secondary school on Wednesday 26th January. A fantastic afternoon trying a new sport, all children had a brilliant time and embraced the experience. The event included children with a wide range of special education needs and our students showcased their understanding of this brilliantly, showing kindness and supporting other children where needed. They represented Irchester impeccably, well done to all involved.
The children at Irchester Community Primary School made Christmas cards for the local community just before the Christmas break. Over 60 Christmas cards were delivered to Dukes Court Care Home in Wellingborough:
“On behalf of everyone here at Dukes Court we want to say thank you to the children of Irchester Community Primary School for writing every resident a Christmas card, it brought lots of joy to our ladies and gentlemen. Thanks to Jade for arranging. Our residents are writing back cards to the children and we shall pop them in the post when all done.”
