We are recruiting a new governor to join our existing governors in providing strategic support to the school. No previous of being a school governor is necessary although a background in marketing or business would be beneficial to the local governing board as a whole. It has been an exciting week in school, our children have been taking part in a Christmas competion run by the anti-bullying ambassadors. Entry to the competition was an item for Wellingborough food bank and we managed to donate 3 big boxes of food.
This afternoon Father Christmas came to visit Irchester children. The children were very excited to meet the man in red.
Poppy Salek was our lucky winner of the Giant Elf competition.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!
This afternoon Mrs Alison, Kelly from FICPS and some of our children visited Irchester CO-OP to receive a cheque for over £2000!
Thank you to everyone with a co-op card who has chosen FICPS as their charity to donate to.
How it works
Every time members shop at the Co-op, 1% of what they spend on selected own-brand products and services goes to the Co-op Local Community Fund. The more members that select 'Friends Of Irchester Primary School' as their chosen local cause will result in the more funds that we will receive.
What can you do?
If you have a Co-op member’s card please go online www.coop.co.uk/membership where you can select us as your cause. Then every time you shop at the coop present your membership card and we will receive some of the benefits.
If you are not a member of the Coop membership scheme please register with the coop for a card. I only costs £1 to do so and you will earn 5% of the value of selected goods and services that you buy, back into your membership account to receive as money off vouchers. You can register on the above website or call into the co-op for a temporary card to register.
If you have any membership queries the co-op membership services can be contacted on the following email address:
We are extremely grateful to the Co-op for giving us this opportunity and urge you to all support us in order to maximise the donations we will receive
