The Y3/4 football team did extremely well at the Wollaston football festival. They played four matches. Won 2 and drew 2.

All players did their best, shooting, tackling and with Jordan as a superb goalie, the team came second out of 5 teams.

The whole team showed all of our school values of Ready, Respectful and Responsible. Irchester Primary is very proud of them.

Thank you to the adults who supported them and took them to the festival.

Well done!

Team: Joshua Toyer, Jordan walker, Tyler McFarlane, Frejya Coulson, Luis Grant, Alex Weed and Lilly Thomas.

Irchester Primary School is a founder member of the newly formed Nene Valley Partnership Multi-Academy Trust. This is a partnership of 3 local schools, established in April 2019 which aims to provide excellence in education for the local community. The Local Governing Board needs to recruit 2 new members from the local community to join the existing Governors in providing strategic support to the school. No previous experience of being a school governor is necessary although a background in marketing or business would be beneficial to the Local Governing Board as a whole

Location: Irchester Community Primary School

Time commitment: Approximately 6 meetings per academic year (2 hours per meeting from 6pm) for the Local Governing Board plus membership of a sub-committee which also meets up to 6 times per academic year (dates and times vary)
