What's Going On?

Our Online Learning System

We were delighted that 65 parents and grandparents came along and joined us for lunch last week. They selected a hot dinner from our five choice daily menu and after eating that together in the dinner hall they went out to play. So many parents commented on how much they enjoyed the experience and were impressed with the wide variety of play equipment and activities available.

Our fundraising project this year is to replace the wooden play trail equipment with new climbing frames and a shaded area with seating. We have launched a design competition and have several fundraising events planned over the next six months. Hopefully the new equipment will be in place next year so that when our visitors stay for lunch again they will enjoy it even more.

We have got our new school year off to a cracking start with a whole school project called ‘The Crunch’. Every year group has been investigating the environmental, nutritional and ecological impact of food production. The children have experimented in the lab, visited a local supermarket and enjoyed an exciting show led by the CBBC ‘Gastronaut’ Stephan Gates (click here).

Families have been involved too; undertaking food experiments in Family Science Club and completing homework to design a new plant for the future.
